Dick Metcalf
Dick was born and raised on the family's Illinois farm which dates back to the 1840's. He grew up with a .22 behind the kitchen door and began shooting and hunting at a young age. He has been a contributor to Shooting Times magazine for more than thirty years and today serves as the Technical Editor for the InterMedia Outdoors Group. Dick is a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former faculty member of the history departments at Yale and Cornell Universities. In addition, Dick has hunted on five continents and was one of the pioneers of handgun hunting.

J. Guthrie
Known by friends and family alike as "Guthrie", J. grew up hunting and fishing in the great state of Georgia. Previously having worked for both the NRA and the Quality Deer Management Program, he has been an outdoor writer for over a decade, and an editor for InterMedia Outdoors for the last four. Guthrie's hunting adventures have taken him to more than twenty states, Africa, and South America. He has been hunting with and writing about AR Platform rifles for over a decade, and looks forward to bringing this technical and real-world experience to Modern Rifle Adventures. Having successfully married well above his station, he and his wife are expecting their second child in 2010.
